Langara Library Is a Partner in Your Academic Success
Whether you’re hunting for credible sources, tackling a confusing database, or struggling with citing sources, the library is here to help.
Here are the resources you will find particularly helpful to your coursework:
- Your Business Librarian – Vivian Feng. Vivian is specialized in business research and familiar with your assignments and projects. You are welcome to email her with any questions related to library research and citing sources.
- Assignment Guides – You will find in these research guides the databases and websites that provide credible data and evidence to support your ideas in assignments and projects.
- Recommended Business Resources – These resources will help you get started with research on any business-related topic.
- Chicago Style Citation Guide – Business – A main goal of creating this citation guide is to alleviate citation anxiety. It provides many examples of notes and bibliography entries for frequently cited business sources so that you can follow them.
Here are some frequently accessed services:
- Research Help Desk – Prefer talking to a real human in person? Visit the Research Help Desk on the main floor of the library. Librarians are happy to chat with you about your research.
- AskAway Chat – Need help but Langara librarians are not available? AskAway is a collaborative project by BC and Yukon post-secondary libraries. You can chat in real time with a (human) librarian to get help with your research or library questions. Please note the service hours.
- Group Study Rooms / Smart Tables – Need a space to work with your team members on group projects? Need to practice your presentation? Click this link to book a group study room, smart table, or theatre (presentation room).
Swing by in person or explore online — your library is here to make your study easier, smarter, and a lot less stressful.
