CPABC Business Case Competition 2026
Demonstrate and develop your business acumen by challenging yourself and your teammates to create strategic, innovative solutions to real issues facing real businesses.
Registration deadline: Friday, January 23, 2026 at 1:00pm PST
Teams:
- Teams must consist of three to four team members. All team members must be undergraduate students enrolled at the same post-secondary institution in BC or Yukon, Canada. See Rules & Regulations for detailed information.
Virtual Kickoff Event:
- Wednesday, January 27, 2026 at 5:30pm — 6:30pm PST: Various aspects of the competition, including deadlines and helpful tips, will be discussed during the event. Our Case and Exhibiting Partner sponsors will also be invited to present. Further details will be sent to registered teams in due course.
First Round:
- Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00pm PST: All registered teams will receive the First Round case via email. Teams have 48 hours to prepare the case.
- Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 1:00pm PST: Teams must submit a video of their case presentation. See Rules & Regulations for detailed information. All video submissions will be judged by a panel at CPABC.
Final Round:
- Saturday, March 21, 2026: The top 8 teams from the First Round will be invited to compete in the Final Round at the Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport in Richmond, followed by an evening networking and celebration reception.
- In addition to the top 8 teams, another 42 teams will be invited to the evening reception for an opportunity to meet and network with our reception sponsors, invited CPAs and fellow students.
Prizes: The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of $2,400. The second placed team will receive a cash prize of $1,200 and the third placed team will receive a cash prize of $600.
